Mods you'd make if you knew how

Something that would get me good maps by changing the generator and not regenerating until it hits the map I want.
Also an in game calculator for stuff so I don't have to keep alt-tabbing, and with formulas built in to make things easier.
I'd make one that every turn asked me questions before I hit "Next Turn" Questions such as: Did you check on your settler so you can whip it? Did you arrange tiles in your cities to your liking? Did you check cities for the spy GP that always seems to crop up when you don't want it?

Commonsense stuff like that would really help me. I know what I am doing, but I forget the micromanagement stuff that better players have down by heart.

You guys are looking for The BUG Mod, many players on here wol't play civ without it, it's pretty much the standard for SG games as well.

I would just give the human the ability to red things out in the diplomacy table so the AI won't constantly ask for those things.

That would make diplomacy too easy, IMO. If I could do that, I'd red everything out, and never get a diplo penalty.

I like the idea of:
- being able to red out things, but assigning (minor) diplo penalties for redding things out, or
- leaving the system as it is, but limiting the amount of diplo penalties you can get for refusing requests. If I turn down requests for a tech 4 times, requests to stop trading 3 times, and requests to join a war 3 times, it should only be a -2 or -3, or
- leaving the system as it is, but disallowing illogical demands. An AI that is Cautious/Pleased with me shouldn't be able to ask me to go to war or stop trading with another AI that I'm Friendly with.

My idea for diplo modding along these lines is similar, give me the ability to go into WHEOUH (sp?) for a specific time that is set in configuration for balance, and when you come out of it you need to be at war with someone. So you could toggle this mode as you are prepping for a war, or while in a war and no one will be able to ask to to declare war on anyone else.
Also, how about allowing redding out for the AI's that are angry with you, but you cannot do it for anything above neutral or so.
