I had this idea, I searched a little but I found nothing in the forums. I will really like to see more aspects in diplomacy and to be more specific I would like to see under "Open Borders" more variables and alternatives. I think it would be very interesting to allow or not traders, missionaries or troops from other civs. That's something that will depend from the era to be and more historical accurate. In ancient times of course missionaries move around as they pleased, so traders, but in industrial era I think it would be more accurate to allow or not units to pass or not through your territories.

So I think a military access agrrement is very useful in any case. Also after enter industrial era to have the ability to make deal on access of religious units, archaelogists or traders. Also there could be some wonders, buildings (like terracota army) or policy cards that overpass this agreement.

The problem with forbiding missionaires from entering a civ would make a religious victory nearly impossible ... however, I like the general idea (you could forbid military units but allow civilian units, like settlers, to pass) !

I think it would be great to seperate access and open borders agreement would mean free civilian access and add a different military access agreement that could be seperate and also a very nice subject of trade. Nobody feels comfortable with military units inside their borders and i think makes sense to have different agreements for civilian and military units.

Missionaries and archalogists they could still freely come and go until a certain era. From industrial era and after i think its better to have a special agreement about these too. And a little more realistic too.
