1.- Can the producers of Civ 3 uses features from CTP? it will interesting to see some of the units (not those galactic ones, but traditional ones) as well as Wonders added... plus the trade products.
2.- The spy unit can be developed also into a "special force" unit?
3.- Wonders that can be built only by a particular nation (EIffel tower for French, American Statue of Liberty, etc)
4.- Tradeable goods and resources could be available by new technologies (ie oil drilling, etc)
5.- Maybe add features such as brands and products that could be traded among civs (thus generating more revenue and having the unavoidable cultural influence). Example will be having particular products in particular ages for civs that can trade...

Thanks

The Statue of Liberty was built by the French given to the Americans. I am against one civ only wonders because inevitable three civs will get very good wonders and tree will get very bad wonders.(Why because it happened with all the other custumizable things in the game)

I thought about your reply, and the idea behind a Wonder for a particular civ could offer the same general benefit when built:
-an advance
-a golden age
-a special unit
-gold?

I would also like to insist on the idea of recruiting foreign legions from other civs... it might be interesting to see this matter... as well as supporting internal struggles within a rival nation (like the support give by superpowers to internal guerrillas during Cold War)

jabancho, what traditional CTP units are you thinking of? Most of what was in there is in civ3, unless you are talking about stealth units. If you want something not included (like Ship of the Line, SAM launcher, etc) people have made models for these and much more - you just have to add them, easy to do - check out the unit graphics forum.

I'd like to see a Civ Editor, so we could more easily create (or change) existing civs, and a Scenario Editor, to better control turns, techs available, traits etc.

But things that definately should be included is, food trade between civs, and a food pool for the empire, I find it annoying having starvation on one city, and a large surplus of food in the city next to it.
And things like civil wars and the rise of new nations as a result (eventualy).

I like the idea of a Foreign Legion Unit. Foreign Legion could be a unit that is recruited from your civ or loaned to an ally to aid in a war and keeps a nationality associated with it (much like slaves). If you later go to war against that country, a foreign legion unit of your civ located in a city could either sabotage improvements or even take over the city. Foreign Legions located outside city walls simply come under your control. The unit could be traded in the standard trade window or recruited thru the espionage window.

I think you have to look to your installation map. There has been an editor in Civ 3 from the beginning and it has been enhanced with PTW. And with Conquests it will be even more enhanced.
You can add and chance all the civs . You already can change the turns, techs and trails.
You've got it already and I think most of us used it to do a lot of the things you want.

I am against one civ wonders unless all civs have a wonder and they are equally useful. If that criteria is met, i might like the idea.

The one civ wonder will give the same benefit, as I mentioned before... the two I thought could be better would be a free advance or a special unit... even maybe a leader??
Another thing that I was thinking was to suggest that Firaxis works on having a longer list of names for cities rather than just adding the New XXX city (it just takes a little more of research)...

I agree w/ h4ppy. Some civs will have much better wonders than others.

I agree with the part about drafting foreign troops though. SWEET:goodjob: !

I think that drafting foreign units would be cool. But they should focus more on some options that aren't directly military, but help your military.
For example:
--techs that allow more terrain modification (oil drilling, secret fortresses, mines, traps set on your borders, blockade of river)
--after a certain tech, you could have a national food storage, which would allow you to sell food, trade food, and distribute percentages of your food between your cities.
--BETTER GOVERNOR CONTROL (i.e. tell him to make a percentage of surplus citizens be scientists, while the rest be tax collectors
--Reserve a number of citizens to act as the national guard, but if you make too many citizens be it, then the people will get upset. Plus two to three of them would be paid one gold, since they must be trained. However, you must research nationalism for this, but since they are trained would come out veteran/regular.
--More covert ops. units (terrorist, assassin, demolition man, etc.)
--More actions you can use (planes can use kamikaze attack)
--Units that counter terrain modifications (mine sweeper guy)
--much better way of determining outcome of battle (once I lost 3 modern armors to one spearman!!!!!!!!!!!)
--Citizens who have a mind of their own(i.e. if you do a lot of nice things to a civ and then the ruler suddenly says we will go to war with you, his civs hate him because they like you and they make massive riots and revolts against the war, may even overthrow the ruler and pledge allegiance to you.:king: )
--Importation and exportation of manufactured goods (i.e. marines, infantry, ICBMs, etc. and some things that you build with manufacturing plant, such as computers, microchips, machines which would reduce the cost of having city improvements, cars, etc.)

That's all I have now. Hope you like my ideas!:goodjob:

That's already possible with the PTW editor. For example, in a mod I inserted the tech refrigeration, with electricity as its only pre-requisite. Once a civ discovers refrigeration, fruits and lemons and pineapples show up on the map. Those luxuries will then be tradeable internationally, since they won't spoil with refrigeration. So you can do something similar in a mod. :)

1. Using gold to hire mercenaries for a few turns might work.
2. I really want to be able to airlift artillary / cruise missiles / etc. (I know I can do it in the editor, but that's not allowed for HOF & GOTM)
3. More per square movement for modern naval units might work
4. Maybe allow more tiles (not just those in a 20 square city radius) to be worked for food after you get railroads.
5. Maybe an agricultural tech you research in the modern age that expands the food production in squares on grasslands & plains.

One other thing. It would be very interesting if the founding of a city that caused the cultural borders of another civ to be reduced was considered an act of war (it's like stealing some the land in their borders but the AI never seems to mine).

Ever found a city within the territory of a civ you are already at war with? Great fun! :D
