I'm using a computer at work and my problem is this:

I have logged under 'administrator' and downloaded KazaaLite onto my PC. I then installed it and logged back under my own name. The problem is it didn't come up with an icon on my desktop and when i go to find the files a window comes up telling me i have to be logged under 'administrator' to use the program. Doesn't sound right... can someone please tell me how to access the program when logged in under myself?

Do you have administrative access on your account?

Or do you need to set an option on the file itself to be used by lower users?

Which OS is it using?

I have administrative access, and have installed it when logged on as the administrator... i just can't access it when i log back on as myself.

Sorry to sound stupid, but what do you mean by OS?

OS= Operating System (ie: Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2000, OSX, Linux, etc)

Log in as administrator.

Go to Control Panel

Select Users & Passwords.

Find your username.

Set as admin.

This should clear it up.

delete the program
give yourself admin status
install it from your login
