In my last game I got 3 MGL from 3 consecutive battles with elite troops, all in one turn. I was thinking that must be fairly rare, but someone here has probably gotten more than that. So, post if you've ever gotten 4, or maybe 5 from consecutive battles.

i never get them at all, it so suxs! Im building tanks before i get any elite troops to pop me some leaders... i hate it!

funnily enough did 3 in a row for the first time tonight , easily 50+ fruitless elite wins first then bingo!

Getting 4 or 5 MGLs (or GLs in PtW) when you have Tanks are other units with 'Blitz' isn't that impressive, and not even that great; you usually can build Armies at that time anyway.

However, I once got 3 MGLs in a turn in the Middle Ages conquests with Swords, no HE around (there is none in this conquest; the HRE wonder has the same function, as well as the Viking Sagas SW, but we had none of those).
The game was won at that point :D.

I've gotten multiple GL later on with blitz units in 1 turn too, that's not what I'm talking about.

Playing as Ottomans, with Sipahi, going after the Celts near Entremont, already have Heroic Epic, got a couple leaders in earlier wars.

Attacking with 1st elite Sipahi, Kill Celtic pikeman in stack moving to retake Entremont. Get MGL, rename unit to Osman's Wrath. Leader goes into Entremont, makes Army.

2nd elite Sipahi goes out, very next unit to attack. Hits Celt pike again, gets another MGL, renamed to 4th Turkic Horse. Leader goes to Entremont, makes Army.

Next elite Sipahi goes after stupid Celt Knight that has moved in to stand on top of the iron on a hill near Entremont. AGAIN, Sipahi wins, generates THIRD MGL. Keep in mind there were no other attacks between these 3 listed with any other units.

With Heroic Epic, chance of leader should be 1 in 12, Ottomans are not militaristic, so... 12 * 12 * 12 = a 1 in 1,728 chance of this occuring, if my math is right. Kind of rare, just wondering if anyone else had ever gotten 4 consecutive in a turn. Small chance, but with so many civ fans... :)

I think my best consecutive MGLs are three also. Most MGL per turn is 7, where in two consecutive turns and IBT I got summary of 14 MGLs - 6 first turn, 1 IBT defensive, 7 next turn. As for SGLs, I got 3 of them while researching consecutive 4 techs(frankly they were useless, bcs it was in time where no graet wonders to be rushed - middle industrial age, and they just ruined me from gaining MGLs, I even though of disbanding them or whatsoever).

Another great RNG event for me was, I attacked with my only two elites in army, where one of them was spear and I got two MGLs. Not consecutive, bcs spear attacked last after all other troops, where redlined archer remained on battlefield.

For example, in Beyond Sid, Bamspeedy got 11 in one turn.

11 in one turn!

I think I've had 5 in one turn. 2 consecutive is rare, happened once for me.

strictly speaking you are both correct and incorrect depending on your viewpoint (which is always hard to guage from an internet forum ;) ), with the next 3 elites the odds you display are correct, however taking 'getting your first leader' as the start the odds are in fact only 1 in 144, not really so rare (but i guess not everyone sorts out the leader immediately, i didn't until i understood it)

The odds of that happening in a game = Number of leaders you get/144, then.

I was figuring in getting that 1st leader as the 1/12 base chance, thus the math. You aren't always in a position to send that leader back somewhere where he can be used up, either, which adds a bit to the problem.
I tried for 4 after the 3rd, didn't get one, that would have been a 1 in 20,736 occurence, now that's really getting unusual.

Most MGL I think I've ever had in 1 turn is 4 from many non-consecutive battles, so 3 in a row was an event for me.

Bamspeedy's Beyond Sid was a crazy game, "THE" craziest, me thinks (and one of the funniest to read too I might add) so far. He ended up with 70-80 MGL's IIRC in that epic game. But he was very lucky to start alone in his continent.

I've only had three MGL's in one same turn.

I beg to differ, seeing how Arathorn's SAW game was very crazy too...

Bamspeedy ended with 101 IIRC. My best is 81 for a game, but Deity.
