Motion Sickness

I've been reading on these forums and see that I am not the only person getting motion sickness from the zooming in CIV-IV. I've tried the ALT-O as well as many combinations of turning effects off, etc. but the game will still auto zoom and center to the next unit.

Is there any way to make the game play like CIV3? Specifically that the screen will just "jump" to the next unit instead of "swooshing" to it? Also, to keep the screen from centering on the next unit if that unit is already on the screen?

I realize that I could turn off the "next unit" option (or whatever it's called), but that (as far as I can tell) makes it a hunting game to find the next unit I need to move.

I really need to solve these problems or else the game will not be playable for me.

I don't think this is possible, unfortunately. But it might be also great for low-end machines where the "swooshing" is really slow...

Try reducing your settings. The poor frame rates are most likely what causing it. Or take some Gravol for motion sickness lol .. not my suggestion. I have the problem in 1st person shooters when the frame rate gets too low .. sick as a dog.
