Maybe there's alraedy a thread about it but I couldn't find one, so I open it.

I really feel there is a big playability problem in MP games.
I just can't find a way to play exactly like in a single player mode.

Even in a turned based game, there is no way to get the computer focusing on the action. For example, if you're attacked, the screen doesn't center on the action and you not even aware about it. In the same way, when you have a big territory, you just have to be luky to see an ennemy approaching your borders or accosting your land. The game doesn't focus on it and doesn't aware you about it.
It's making the game almost unplayable the usual way ! I can't see my opponents and AI units moves ! Am I supposed now to guess where the boat I was following is gone ??

So here is the question : is there any way to make the game look like single player, I mean to force the game showing the AI turns and your opponents moves by focusing on the action ?
I know it will make the turns longer but who cares ? Most of us have a permanent (DSL like) connection !

Thanks !

If you press "x" it centers on the action. It is good to know approximately the amount of units on a battlefield, so you can compare before after, if it doesn't center on it.

As for "not noticing the opponent approach", this can get very nasty. Do not try to be nice and push enter whenever you're done, it pays of to scan your borders for enemy units. I lost some cities on the sea because of this.

On the other hand this can be an advantage. If you play without the civ-specific abilities, choose a civ that is likely to have a brown or green color. If the other players have no units in sentry mode on their borders, it is not unlikely, that you can get one or two quick victories.

What really gets on my nerves is that after you have used "goto" or "stack move" with units, the game switches to another movable unit. Very bad idea in simultaneous moves. Your opponent gets the chance to attack you, even if you still have some movement left and while you are trying to reactivate the units.

Not sure if this got better in the 1.21 patch.
