All my iTunes music files are MPEGs. If I were to move the files somewhere else, would they be able to play as MP3 files? If not, is it possible for me to convert them into MP3s?

This will surley work. If the need arises, I'll definitley check it out. Thanks.

MPEG is basically a video file, although sometimes I seen them as audio files. I use Audacity on "stereo mix" input to record as MP3, which is audio file. You also need a DLL to export as MP3.

Audacity is an open source program. I use it for converting a lot.

Switch input to stereo mix, press record, play song or video, stop recordign, delete empty space, and export as MP3.
