I'm trying to install Civ4 from direct2drive on a intel mac running windows xp native. The download is fine, but when I try to run Civ4 (it installs correctly) it gives me the following error:
'The procedure entry point ??1?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCP71.dll'
I've tried re-downloading the .dll file and placing it in both the c:\windows\system folder and the \system32 folder, but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any ideas?
Again Civ4 downloads and installs correctly (according the the Civ4 installer anyway), I just can't run it. When I double-click the desktop icon for Civ4 I get the above error. Thanks everyone!
