Playing MTW2, all is well, but one problem with the advent of Kingdoms - whenever I play the original campaign, I get the old 2 years per turn but 6 months aging bug. Any thoughts on this? It's only on the original campaign, BTW, not the new ones.

EDIT: Turns out it is on the new ones as well.

It is not a bug it is the way the game was built.

You can fix this if you like.

Here is how.

Go to my computer - then go to the drive your game is stored on to ( most likely called (C:) )

- then click on program files

Then Sega

Then medieval total war 2

Then Data

Then world

Then Maps

Then Campaign

Then Imperial Campaign

Now right click on descr_strat and go down to properties.
click on the box that says read only and remove the check mark.

Now open the descr_strat file.

Change it from timescale 2.00
to timescale 0.50

and you will have realistic turns :goodjob:

I know it's the way the game was made originally, but they changed it to have aging and turns synchronised in an earlier patch, and now they've changed it back - just seems odd.

Thanks for the tip, though do you know a way to alter the aging, rather than the turn times?

I am sure there is a way but, that requiers unpacking the rest of the files - something I allways screw up :(

Someone here ought to know something -

Found a mod over at heavengames that changes aging to one year per turn, it involves inserting a large amount of code into the campaign_script.

Cool :goodjob: enjoy that, we all like to play are diff. ways. I am glad this game is not totally hardcoded and somewhat modable :goodjob:
