Multi-session G&K game (GMT+12 @ 8PM)

Yep :D

yes, we've started, but that game may be doomed, so we may be looking to start another on our next round.

We'll try to salvage the save, but after about six reloads, it's probably f**ked.

So, bookmark the thread, stay posted if the time works for you, you might get in. :)

I've put 5 saves aside, all before the last start we tried.

When shall we try again / reconvene to start anew?

This week, anytime. Next week and forward, only weekends for me. I'll say the same thing I wrote earlier. If those conditions are agreeable then I'm in without any problems.

Pretty sure the game is hosed since it hiccups in the same spot over and over (the turn after I built the Oracle and one of those city states recognizes it is when the disconnects happen). If other players want to play tonight then I would suggest starting over, otherwise we can give the save another shot. It is definitely an interesting game and I have to say the Indians are not as bad in G&K multiplayer now that there are more sources of happiness earlier.

I dont mind trying same time again tomorrow, tonight or whenever depending on timezone. I'll be out of bed at the same time anyway.

I'll see if I can check in with E today. I can play tonight.

Would like to try one do over...but agree, it's unlikely to work.

Anyone who wants to join in a new game should be on hand, in 12.5 hours. (assuming E can play--I'll post an update later if we don't hear from him here.)

Ok, I will play tonight, I must hurry to finish my work early in the afternoon then.

Sounds like we're motivating you to study.

A very entertaining game where Japan (me) and Egypt (eee) were locked in a long struggle for land. A few thousand years had to pass and a Japan with a ruined financial situation. Egypt didnt fare much better since they had to give up all plans on building their great wonders and focus on defence. In the end we both decided it was going nowhere and gave up the fight for now. All the while America (onan) and Sweden (islandia) grew fat on our poverty and srruggle and now seem to be fighting over who can be more neutral. Pansies.

Should mention. Kyoto was pumping out 1 sword a turn and samurai in 2-3 turns. That is a big reason why I never lost Osaka to eee.

If wasn't for the annoying citadel grabbing land near my capital, I would have settled for a defensive position.

I thought is was pretty funny to go back and forth like that. Made for fun battles. Pillage the citadel or die! In the end it looks kind of even with the borders. Tiles next to both cities are the wrong colour. Unfortunally for me you managed to get the upper hand by taking my lux. I take that punishment willingly since I started the war because of diplomatic provocations and boredom.

You seem to have forgotten the war we fought with Egypt, starting shortly after yours, where we took advantage of the distraction, though we'd thoroughly prepped for war ourselves, to capture and burn Memphis, which was preventing us from settling a third city near our capital. After Boston was founded, we settled for peace.

I think I'm out till our Saturday at least, plans for the next couple of nights.

That wasnt a war! That was slaughter of innocents! Atleast I have the decency to fight him in open warfare, soldier against soldier. There is no honour in burning homes and raping daughters. On this, we stand with the Egyptians!

Ha, the only reason you haven't done the same in Thebes is, well, that you haven't been able.

I am a fair leader that let my conquered enemies rule themselves! Just ask the city states under my protection.

I think 4 player game is less dynamic than 6- player game. This one is more like league game, which I don't like fighting in real time.
