MultiPlayer-Internet Games server not working

recently i am unable to connect to Internet games in the multiplayer menu in Civ 4 BTS complete edition. A message keeps popping up with the tab 'Server Unreachable" and the following " The connection to the game browsing server has failed". Firewall and ports welcome civ and have had no problems in the past with them or the internet games. Could someone please help me or tell me if the internet games server is down or not working anymore?

Sounds almost like my issue, cept my game just ends up non-responsive every time I try to log in. :/

I have the same problem, which arose out of nowhere... Did you figure it out at all?

No I didn't, it appears to have fixed itself as in now works. I wish I knew how to help.

Is it possible that your network is somehow blocking gamespy?

I doubt it, because it's not blocking anything else, and Gamespy was working before. So someone would have had to specifically block just GameSpy for that to be the case.

It was the same for me, nothing changed on my network or firewall. Yet Gamespy just stopped working, few months later, it started working again. No idea why.

Well, I guess I'll just keep checking. Looks like gamespy is pretty much shutting down, so it's not like I can call them up and ask what's up. Thanks for responding!
