Hi,

Maybe someone can help me? I am playing on a local network with MGE, with the CivUIA, 2 human players + the 5 AI.

The game runs pretty well, however if I host, the other player cannot see my game, so the other must host but that's no a big issue albeit strange considering that it is a local network.

Second thing, during the turn, the other player can see the enemy movements and the fight for example, the attack to a city with the health slide of the unit decreasing, while when it is my turn I do not see the AI movement, everything happen super fast, movement and fighting, as if the fast piece slide option is on.

Any idea?

I occasionally go to Lan parties with mates (yeah.. mid life crisis lol) and play a lot of retro stuff and the 'fun' issue some computers being a visible host and others being an invisible host seems to occur in many old games.. presumably related to peoples individual OS, fire sharing and network settings but it's super hard to figure out and much like you did we usually just give up and go with whoever can host with everyone seeing them lol!

As for the in-game discrepancies.. that sounds weird so jeez who knows mate.. I haven't played a multiplayer Civ2 game since 1999 lol.. if changing game settings has no effect that it's presumably down to some silly bug realting to your PC and copy of civ2 that your mate isn't getting. I guess there's a slight chance it's a bug caused by Civ2UIA as @FoxAhead probably doesn't get a lot of volunteer testers for multiplayer mode to make sure nothing there is ever affected by his tool's changes but it seems unlikely and more likely some silly usual old game vs modern OS issue probably lol.
