Multiplayer & Norton Internet Protection

Hi all

Not sure if anyone can help, but whenever i try and play multiplayer Norton Internet Worm Protection keeps popping up and saying do i want to allow access to Civ4.exe. I've added it to the safelist but it refuses to go away and i have to keep clicking permit (or else turn it off) to get civ4 to work

Anyone else experience this?

with Civ 4 no, but i did uninstall Norton a long time ago because of similar problems with other programs.

yea, this POS version of Nortons has done this to me since Battlefield 2....I either shut off the worm protection temperarily in the options page, or you can just ignore nortons and clik on Civ IV down in the task bar....this works for me too...I'm close to switching to AVG antivirus because it doesnt screw with my online games...

Here's the solution, because this kept happening to me.

Go to options, internet worm protection, program control (this is using Norton Systemworks Pro 2005), and DELETE the settings for Civilization 4. Then, start Civ 4 and when it asks for permission, allow it (always). This should fix thigns.

Tried that but didn't work.

In the end upgraded to 2006 and it works ok now - POS NAV
