Multiplayer - started game connecting issue

Whenever I try to join a server which game's started before I connected I go up to that "Transfering data to" box, it loads and when I'm suppose to see the game screen it crashes to the desktop.

How can I solve this problem?

Have the same probblem as u have, only I get a message stateing that the save file is protected by a password & when I click OK it drops me on to desktop!

I see lots of questions and no answers. Has anyone actually gotten multiplayer to work?
