Hi, sorry if posted in the wrong forum, but i was just wondering if you could tell me how you can play 2 mods at once. I've been looking all over the forum and i can't find one which has a subject close to mine.

Can u please help???:)

I want to merge sevomod, next level mod, and some others

Help would be highly appreciated. THANKS THANKS!!!:)

What TGA said. Pray that there aren't too many common XML files. The ones that are common hope that the authors put their changes at the bottom or somehow set them apart. Short of that it's a cut/paste and cross your fingers type deal....

Actually, I have been think about this problem. Maybe one solution would be to ask that all mod component makers include in their release separate files still using the XML format (with the extension ... cml?) that includes the changes made to the original files only.

I'm not really one to stick the boots in - but sometimes I wonder for a game that was so obviously going to be huge for mod making, why you can't have little plug and play modules on top of the original xml files. Possibly you can, I don't know, and many mod makers chose not to go this way.

We may be spoilt for good quality mod-makers, but I also think that we must be missing out on a lot because of these limitations. Anyway, bring on the SDK.

I haven't tried it yet, but this is supposed to work at merging mods.
Might want to give it a try

now i use this on my comp extensively. i have merged about 30-40 mods, including the one to get the inquisitor, the one with extra resources, and a bunch of extra civ mods. i am running a mod now with about 110 different civilizations to choose from and about 200 leaders.

did you make sure you downloaded the extra 2 components to make this run correctly?

you'll also want to download an xml editor, i use xml marker which is free at downloads.com

then merge them one by one, try them out, and merge them again. also, pay attention to any error messages and try to fix them. with a little xml practice you'll gain knowledge and be able to do it. it is not hard, but it is time consuming. it took me a couple of weeks to get this mod playable (although it still has a few bugs that i am trying to work out.)
