Multiple-votes polls make no sense

When you post a poll where you may cast multiple votes and one option has always been chosen, the percentage should be 100%. Now the percentage is still shows the part of all given votes.

Example:
Three options, 2 people voted.
Option 1: 1 vote = 50%
Option 2: 2 votes = 100%
Option 3: 1 vote = 50%
Option 4: 0 votes = 0%

Now is shows 25%, 50%, 25% and 0%, respectively.

Ok, I confess, it's just a choice. They makers of this forum chose to show the percentage of all individual votes, but with 95% of all multiple-votes polls it is much more interesting how many percent has voted for a singular option, regardless of the other options.

Thunderfall, can't you say to the UBB dudes that they don't have any understanding of statistics?

IMO, it should be percent of total. I don't see many multiple choice polls anyway though.

Multiple choice comes in handy.

A poll I posted:

Which modifier do you use most

• @AND
• continuous
• delay
• Justonce
• randomize
• delayperflag
• none

(Iknow the none option defeats the purpose,
but I can't edit the poll)

Here the multiple coice can be an advantage.
I use both the Justonce and @AND and Randomize
modifiers just as frequently.

It makes sense to me, but I don't like the way they set it up. Let's hope they changed it in VB 3.0 (or made it to where you can use both)

I don't need to; I'm way better at math than the rest of you. I can figure out who's winning just by looking at the raw data!

I assume that you are being sarcastic.
The raw data is infact the number of people that voted for each option!
