My Conquests Folder Has Become Unintelligible... Can anyone explain?

Hello everyone.

I wanted to share the experience that I am having right now with you all. This morning, when I went to launch Conquests (in order to start the Conquest of the Month 8 competition), the game did not launch. I then went to the folder to see what was wrong, and my entire folder was complete gibberish... I post the screenshot below for your viewing. I am going to re-install, but before I did, I wanted to ask two questions:

1) Has anyone ever had this occur?

2) What could have caused this?

Addressing question #2, I have not found any other files or folders on my hard drive that have done this, so it appears only to be a problem with Conquests. (My PTW and Civ Vanilla folders are intact, also.) Another odd thing is that the Conquests folder shows that it contains a whopping 106 GB of data... Well, that's impossible, as that particular partition is only 11.6 GB... Hmm...

Well... reininstall it, or if it doesn't work: remove it completley and install it back...

It certainly looks as if something has become corrupted. Even if you think nothing else is affected, you should run Scandisk anyway just to make sure. If that doesn't show anything then I'm afraid you will have to remove it completely and then reinstall it. I don't think a repair installation is a good idea.
