I decided (or better, required) to make Mages to win my recent Lsojarfar game.
Unable to make Siege I decided to pursue Sorcery and see what's the big deal about Tier 2 Caster. After researching the mandatory Leaves and Archery, I lined up for Sorcery. I was so unused to using Mages I did not knew I needed to upgrade it from adepts... good thing I had some to upgrade, bad thing they were not many.
At some point I used March of the Trees and took the close Hippus and Bannor cities (even the capitals) leaving them with just 1 underveloped city each. I also took 2 cities from that Ice guy (lost one to a random frostling thou, lol)
Finally massed 3 Fireballing Mages and put then together on a stack with my archer hero and started to march in direction of the Clan of Ember citys, my longtime rivals when...
...Thessa (me) achieves a religious victory.
I never used these mages.
