Here is my 4 point plan for africa (some other 3rd world countrys too)

1. Top ramen 10 cent packets of soup - only in chicken flavor, why ramen why only in chicken ? it's simply I keep hearing how evil generals are stealing all of the U.N. food rations. I know from personal experiance eating ramen every day gets old, this will keep it from stealing it. It has some protein and 30 cents of it is like what 1200 cal (something like that) + say 70 Cents to fly it over there. Sure 1200 calories isn't alot , but they won't die. The fact that there is salt in ramen will keep the goiters off of them

2.Bug spray - I hear that before european colonialism people in africa lived far away from rivers and rarley got malaria. Now there towns are right next to rivers and something like 25% of people die before there 5th birthday and this keeps women out of the work place yada yada. terrible on the whole + I personally loath mosquitos.

3. American visas and foot(soccer)balls - football is the cheapest from of diversion after sex (and we all know what unprotected sex is doing to africa) and if we find any exeptional players while were out there we can give them visas so they can play on the U.S.National team.

4.Condoms and aids education packets in every written language.

So who's going to help me get this operation of the ground? :king: :king: :king:

The literacy rate in nigeria (africa's largest country)
male: 75.7%
female: 60.6%

I just added the condoms part in a hope full kind of gest, the key is bug spray and rame thou.

Here's my plan:

Organizations dedicated to relieving hunger in Africa stop making dairy products their number one export.

Nearly everyone in Africa is lactose intolerant you idiots! They can't eat it!

Can you demonstrate that diary products are the largest item being donated to Africa?

Food, medicine, pesticides, education, assistance, tools, donations, loans development funds - these are all what is needed from one hand.

From the other hand is needed reform of institutions, setting up working states, crushing ignorant savagery (the witchhunts over the chap who was accused of stealing someone's todger and the witchcraft deaths in South Africa), internal and external security, reliable law and order and effective government.

Both are needed, otherwise each is wasted.

In some cases, the latter translates to recolonization.

If you take little Johnny out for a swimming lesson, you want him to be able to make it on his own and survive. But if he starts drowning in the middle of the pool, you go in and help him, and then keep teaching and supporting him until he can properly make it on his own.
Too many Africans and people around the world have been callously sacrificed at the altar of trendy beliefs.

Step 1. Giving them accsess to clean water is the most important thing. Anything else you do is usless if there's no water and everbody dies. And giving people an alternitive drink to diseased water is good for their health. (obviously) I reccomend digging wells.

Step 2. I also think we should give the people carrot seeds because carrots are drought proof and will cure the horrible heath problems I hear about from the lack of vitiamin A, such as immunodefecancy and even blindness. (My mom's a doctor, don't question me)

Step 3. Education, becuase education is the best way to fight the spread of aids. And it can get people good jobs.

Edit: But handouts like these are only half the battle. Please see the post above by Simon Darkshade.

I meant to add that about the water , carrots good lookin out :goodjob:

Your solutions are a start, and they've been implemented to some success. Rice is cheaper than Ramen, and better. Neither are useful without clean water. Sanitation in the other department is just as important. I've seen documenters where drinking wells were contaminated by outhouse-like pits.

These things would just stabilize Africa on the most basic level. To improve Africa, money needs to be spent -- but in a different manner than it has been. UN-run road building and stuff.

A random side note, I don't know about all of Africa, but my grandmother's (granny's <3) family all got malaria at one point in their lives. She was born in Kenya (my aunts's ability to check 'African-American decent' on college applications and loans saved her money $$$).

How about social reform , with its main aim being self-reliance ?

How can you be self-reliant without an infastructure or a stable government?

I often wondered though, why is it that the rest of the world advanced yet the African nations were always so far behind? One could say imperialism, slavery destroyed them, and that would be partially true, but they were backwards even before all that, which allowed them to be taken over in the first place.

The fundamental assumption behind social reform is that the government is incapable or unwilling to improve the lot of its constituents , and therefore people must "build their own" . Infrastructure missing ? Build your own . It sounds impossible , but it's been done in India , with villages , and it works .
