My Units Burn all the improvements in conquested cities :(

Fos some odd reason, my units automatically pillage all the ennemy cities. I play full conquest (means i grab all the land) and i have never seen a single improvement in a captured cities. Each time i move military, to capture the city it says : Your warriors(or tanks or anybody) pillaged 200 gold... Do you want to keep or to raze the city.

How could i simply get the improvements ????

AFAIK only Wonders, if any, will survive your conquest of the city.

I think, as in Civ3, that all "cultural" buildings disappear but some others (like markets and banks) have a chance of surviving. I believe this is the case with "flipped" cities from the games I've played...
