I just picked up civ 5 and i am going for the new culture victory :cool:
so my questions are, how EXACTLY do you "work" a world wonder because I had one in my boarders but i still didn't get the bonus
Also, does gaining a city by trade or conquest effect the length of social policies??
if anybody could get back to me i'll <3 you =)

You can't work the wonder. It's bonuses come automatically to you just like buildings bonuses come to you. The wonder being near your city is purely cosmetic.

Unless you mean Natural Wonders. You do work those.

New cities increase the cost of social policies. However, if you puppet conquered cities, they won't. I wouldn't do this with too many or else you'll eventually run into happiness problems, but that's something to keep in mind.

I'm fairly sure it's Natural Wonders we're talking about here, since when you find them, the message box tells you the value "if worked".

Just enter the city screen, and in the top right corner there should be manual citizen allocation, or something. You will then be able to select the natural wonder to work it like any other tile.

I'm fairly sure the automatic governor would work a natural wonder by itself, provided the city has enough population. I guess it depends what focus you set it to.
