I'm really glad to see this unit. From what I hear, Red Indian Cavalry was "probably the greatest Light Cavalry in the world" (http://members.aol.com/aacsgtmike/indians.html). Thence the need for the U.S. Cavalry to be formed, seeing how infantry was "no match" for these fellers (ibid.).

But do you think you could try a cut 'n paste job without the giant chieftain's headdress? This has already been suggested:

you could make one with the napoleonic rifleman's head being replaced either by the vanilla civ3 scout or utahjazz' native american rifleman
I think more warriors would be having less feathers in their cap than this guy. Besides, how do you ride around at full tilt with one of those things anyway? :)

Thanks, though. My personal mod cannot be without what was probably the best light cavalry of the time.

Actualy the head dresses were only made of light leather strips some clothe strips and feathers .... not that heavy or awkward..
And typicaly they were woven into the braids in their hair ...

Oh.

And everybody wore one?

That's what I thought.

No interest in using the Scout's head, eh Varkasal?
