NDA Lifted?

Try getting out of an NDA with the Federal Government some time...

No compete and NDA are totally different... No compete hardly stands in any court, where NDAs are quite strong in court WHEN they are put that far.

NDA with feds or military are a little different... They can shoot you...

My stepson signed an NDA when he was at Firaxis a few weeks ago when he got to see a bunch of Civ 4 stuff. I can't get a PEEP out of him! (Pretty proud of him that a 12 year old can keep secrets so well).

We live about 5 minutes from Firaxis and he's friends with a boy who's mom works there. He's been there like 3 times; brought me back Sid's autograph last time!

That is very cool! Lucky kid.

Best not to tell him the NDA can't be held against him since he's 12 years old. He's got a good sense of right and wrong, better to leave it that way. :)

Hehe, I was thinking the same thing. At least in the US, NDAs aren't legally binding on anyone under the age of 18. That's why a lot of companies won't accept beta testers under that age.

Because of attorney client priverlige i am unable to comment on the exsistance or nonexsistance of any NDAs or what persons may or may not be party to these unconfirmed agreements. (only one person gets this joke)

Also moderators what would you do if someone started talking about the civ4 secrets, would they get banned, over at mugglecity they banned anybody who even talked about harry potter spoliers before the latest book. (they even shut down the entire forum for a few days just to be sure although i am in no way advocating that here, its pointless for a game you cant really kill the story)

my cousin worked for blizzard,,,i thought i would know everything about what games were coming, when and how, and what the thing would be like.....pretty sure im absolutely clueless to anything..all i ever get out of him is a smile and "im not really sure", or the dreaded, "you'll find out when you play, but its pretty cool"..argh.

he still wont speak about what went into diablo 2...says hes not at liberty to say..and that was years ago

You REALLY want to spoil the fun for yourself? ;)

Yep, those of us in Baltimore are fiercely loyal! :D

In my experiences, it's the testing/development process that is still protected after the game ships.

Did I mention that I hate bugzilla ? :crazyeye:
