Need any Wonder Videos?

I could make some prettier versions of some of the old wonder videos, or some new ones etc. I was thinking graphic backgrounds with a bit of animation (clouds etc.)

Anyway, if there is any the mod team would like let me know, I'd be happy to help out on the team in this field. A bit of multimedia can really contribute to the atmosphere of a mod

If you want to chuck me a few to do I can have a go in my spare time

Due to the size of C2C we have animated movies in a separate download (which SO keeps forgetting to link in to the firs post). In the main down load we go for static pictures or none for the movies.

I do think we need a movie (static and non-static) for every wonder. To work as a mod they both must have the same name and be in the same folder which is why the long movies are not in the default SVN.

It's a shame cos in a way the stock civ 4 vids were so dull for the wonders imo. Didn't really make you feel like you had 'achieved' something. The best vids are those that make you go YES!!!! I just made that mofu wonder (making up for all the times your other wonders get built first by someone else... normally by a single turn haha)

I like the static movies for wonders. But all wonders should have them in the "normal" C2C.

Hey, i would also be glad to offer help in this area.
We (NINC) are a professional 3d animation and media production company, which means we could make wonder movies in rather good quality, but, on the otherhand, with often full time schedules i have to see how long one takes

i would prefer to recieve a first suggestion, possibly by strategyonly (so i can thankfully give back some for all the marvelous caveman2cosmos time), and then just start working and 3d modelling..

so, which wonder movie would need some attention first?

the issue here is, i am not well experienced in character animation.. but anyhow, i can give it a try (without any promise - are there 3d models ready and just need to be rigged and animated? is there an instruction manual how to import // export models for civ4? (we use 3dsmax, btw)

It can't go in the main SVN because the files belong in exactly the same place as the static ones. It is an either or situation. That way there is no need to change any XML.
