I want to import Austrin from FF, how would I go about doing that? I really like that civ

You may want to see if they have any feature incompatible with Orbis first. Do it by comparing their xml files with the xml of one other Orbis civ, like the Bannor (I know they aren't Orbis per se but when I say "Orbis civ" I mean "XML Orbis").

Then, you would have to choice: if everything can be imported, you would need to take the code from FF and import it in Orbis. It could be trickier than simply copy/paste.

If something cannot be imported, either find a way to do it in another way or else you have to think of something else to keep Austrin gameplay.

Theoretically, it should be tedious, though. I thought of doing that but I realized doing something new from scratch was more interesting. But I would like to see them in Orbis as I like Autrins, even though they don't seem that unique to me.

Sadly, you can't simply import...

There are schema differences, and gameplay differences, so you need to both adjust the code (especially xml, python is the same, just copy and paste) and the way the civ is played.

One time I wanted to "merge" them with hippus, to make hippus less one-sided. Currently they are all about mounted combat, and their patron, Tali, is much more than that. She is an Austrin patron, too.

I do not know that much about them, so no idea how it would be done.

Whatever you decide to do, I advise using Orbis Xml editor - it makes my life much easier, so it will probably help you, too.

I always felt the Austrin should have been combined with the Chislev - neither felt like they had quite enough character on their own, but put them together and you get a tribe of red indians explorers.

I don't have 2007 excel :(
