Need help with Civ3 : Gold

Okay, long story short:

A few years ago i bought civ3. About a year or so later I bought civ3: PTW. And just today I bought Civ3: Gold.

Now to the part that i need help with:

I put in Civ3: Gold Disc 1. It brings up the desktop menu (Play, uninstall, register, etc.) I click play. After a few secs a message pops up that says:

Please insert Civilization 3 : Play the World
Retry Cancel

Basicly what i want to know is how the heck do i get it to play civ: gold and not ask for civ: ptw?

Any help would be great, Thanks.



P.S. The main reason I bought civ:gold was for the map editor, if theres a way i can just at least access that option then i'll be good. Also, before anyone suggests it, I DID try to uninstall ptw, but a message poped up saying I couldnt do it because of an error.

Ooops - you've just wasted some money! Civ3 Gold *is* PTW and Civ3, so it comes with no additional features than what you already have. To get to the map editor for Play the World go to the location of the PTW folder: C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Civ3PTW/ and click on the file named Civ3XEdit. That's the PTW editor.
