never mind.

It's different for each CD. It's illegal to give out codes, but you won't be caught if:

The code-giver hasn't (and won't) register his/her game. If so, you can feel free to use the code to register.

OR

The code-giver has (or will) register his/her game, but you're willing to not register it.

(As you may have guessed, registering is how the company keeps track of codes.)

And since it's illegal (AFAIK), I don't feel like giving you my code, and I don't think this thread is allowed. :( Deeply sorry, and too bad about losing all your stuff. :(

IT'S ILLEGAL???? Whoops.  :o

EDIT: Found it! I remembered that I wrote the code on the manual. Never mind! :)

Good to hear! :) I'm not 100% sure that it's illegal, though.

Well on the Sims BBS boards, they say it's illegal to give out game codes.

There are some programs to help things like that. I think one is on the Simsplus...it searches your CD for the code. But it might be on Killersims. If it's on Killersims, crap. They switched to a paying service a little more than a year ago.
