One thing I really hate is when a unit becomes upsolet and you can't upgrade it. This leaves you the option of having alot of junk units or disbanding them.
Now, the only two units right now that are like this are the ancient cavalry and the crusader. Novel solution, go into the editor and make it so they upgrade. But not wanting to lose their uniqueness I wanted to have them upgrade into unique units no civ can normally make. This is where I need help, because I can't figure out how to do it.
What I did in the test was have the ancient cavalry upgrade to a new unit I made called advanced cavalry. I made the unit, set them to be avalible with military tradition and set them so no civ could make them. Then I set the ancient cavalry to upgrade to them, and yes, I checked the upgrade unit ability.
When I got military tradition I went to upgrade them... but alas, the option wasn't there. Is it even possible to have them upgrade to a unit no civ can make and if so, how?
Thanks,
Kyle
