Last night i copied the Traffic Giant CD (which i own - it's only a copy to play, so that i save the original copy in a secret place, so it doesn't get harmed)!:goodjob:

At least i thought i'd copied, because i used the copy CD procedure of Nero and Nero did the speed measurement, the simulation and only then the burn. Nero said "burn completed sucessfull at 10x"!!:D

The copy was made from the CD to the image and then from there to the CDR! (both drives are on the same IDE - a Philips DVD Rom and an Acer CDRW 10x8x32x)!

The problem was when i wanted to play with it.....all the files were in the CD....the size of all the files was correct too, but there was some files (at least the *.txt and *.ini) that were empty, and the autorun didn't worked and the installation file was giving the following error "not a Win 32 application" (or something like that)!!

What went wrong??:(

Please help me!!;)

Maybe it was a low quality CDR that wasn't made for 10x.
Look at the CD case if there is something written about the maximum speed the CDR is made for. If not try 4x. nowadays even the worst CDRs should be capable of 4x :goodjob:

Edit: and even if the CDR is labeled to be capable of 10x, try 8x or lower. :)

goto www.gamecopyworld.com
look up your game
see if there are special methods for making a backup of that game
if there aren't then I am at a loss.
try one more time...

Edit:
here is an American mirror site to the above mentioned website:

I didn't find anything about making backups but here is a way that you can play the game sans CD once you get it to work. Sorry.

Thanks for your help, dudes!!:)

I'll try all the suggestions!!:D

If all those proposed solutions remain hopeless, then you can always try CloneCD. As far as I know, nothing, no copy-protected CD can resist it. Really. It can copy everything, including heavily protected games, such as... HEEM, well I'll prevent myself from giving names :D
One more detail: Plextor is the reference for CD burner. And it can copy everything. Whereas most of other burners won't duplicate protected cd. That may be an useful tip for you, since you "only duplicate backup copies" ;)

CloneCD is a good idea but it only works "great" for certain CD-RW drives. So if you do decide to purchase that software make sure yours is covered.

Thanks, guys!!:)

It's really great to have a place in which the people can share there problems, and where someone always has some sort of solution for them!!:D
