This is my first post on this forum. I started playing Civ II since about the time it first came out then moved on to Civ III. I have Civ IV but have not been able to get as interested in that version. I've mostly played against the AI at the Monarch level, sometimes Emperor, since I have not found many live opponents interested in the game. I would like to try some online competition but, as I said, this forum and that type of action is new to me. I'm not even sure if I am posting this correctly. Would appreciate feedback and how to's on the mechanics necessary to accomplish this. Looking forward to hearing from someone. THX

Welcome! There's a forum specifically for multiplayer, play by email. Navigate back to civilization forums>CIVILIZATION III, then click on the multiplyer, PBEM section.
It wouldn't surprise me if a moderator didn't move your post for you. I hope you find some worthy oponents!

oh, we're out here... we just hid in rock chasms, up in the tops of trees, etc.. etc... I believe there was a similar thread to how its hard to find Civ III players IRL (in real life)
and I know we're out there, as I myself live in AZ, as I see your location says you live there, and I've met some players in the OT (Off Topic) Forum, whom are very nice, that are also from AZ, although I've never known what version of Civ they have, and since I haven't seen them in the Civ III forum, I can only assume it isn't Civ III.
