Has anyone else had this problem? Can you cancel deals after 20 turns yourself?

I traded horses and a ROP to my neighbours the Iroquois during one game, allowing them to build Mounted Warriors. They never cancelled this deal!

Sure they were buddies with me the whole game, not wanting to lose out on their UU, but even when we both had tanks, they were still getting horses from me..

Does anyone know if you can cancel a deal after 20 turns? I thought it was automatic, but it seems that if the Civs like the deal they can let it go on forever?

I know WAR will kill a deal, but what about peacefully?

When conducting diplomacy with the other civ, down at the bottom you should see an 'active' selection. That shows what treaties you currently have with that civ. If the 20 turns are not up you should see a number by it in parentheses. Just click on that treaty, and it will be re-negotiated (or you can cancel the deal by just saying 'never mind', after selecting that deal.)
