New and Need Help

Your suggestion worked, kinda. Now it gives me the same message, but now it's missing the "Art\Units\Legion\LegionaryRun.amb".

I have a feeling that it might do this for the "Death", "Attack", and other things too. What needs to be renamed, because the LegionaryRun.amb IS in the .ini file.

Before modifyuing the INI check that the .amb is included in the folder if not (and every other sound file) copy it from the Legionnary folder....

It is not in the unit folder with all the .flc files, but when I go into the .INI file, the LegionaryRun.amb is under "[Sound Effects]", along with LegionaryAttackA.amb, LegionaryAttackB.amb, LegionaryDeath.wav, LegionaryFortify.wav, LegionaryFidget.wav, and LegionaryVictory.wav.

The program reads the .INI file to see what to do in a given situation. So every file (.flc .amb .wav etc.) in the .INI file has to have a corresponding action file in the unit folder. Try coping all the files you mentioned to your unit (Legion?) folder. Make sure they have exactly the some name as in the .INI file.

Well, those files ARE in my "Legion" folder. They came with unit when I downloaded it. All I did was move them there from the original zip file.

Then it must be a spelling problem. If there is so much as a "space" extra or missing in the filename, you will get the error you described.

Also, is there more than one .INI file in "Legion"?

There is only one .INI file. Everything seems to be spelled right, and from the thread, no one seemed to have a problem with adding it (other than it having sort of a greyish shadow).

Could it possibly be that I need to copy the "LegionaryRun.amb" and other files from the real "Legionary" folder in the game and put them into my "Legion" folder? The zip file only came with .flc files and the .INI, no .amb or .wav files.

Okay, I think I got them all. Man did I think it was harder than it really was! It's not that bad at all. Thanks for the help guys!

just remember that all the files described in the ini(flc.wav.amb...)better be in the unit's folder.and dont cut and paste, copy and paste
