Also, I forgot one change I wanted to make for 3.2: The defensive units are too weak for MP I find. I intend to up the stats of the Musketeer to 4/4/2 3:2 (as opposed to 4/3/2 2:2). As we haven't come close to Flintlock yet, this shouldn't mess us up.

If you are all happy with this, I would ask you to replace the rules.txt you have, with the one I will send you tonight.
 
OK, I will resend the whole thing, to everyone (with the new rules.txt) tonight. The move JCF has played can stand (it is at King (Governor level), right?

Yep, set at king level.

Wonder if it has something to do with hotmail. I remember using them before and they had a pretty restrictive inbox size IIRC.

I am now especially glad to have you on board, and although I hope your talents won't be needed in that regard, it is always a good feeling to have a policeman "on the premises".

JCN's start is fine, although he too should use the new rules.txt. I have mailed that to him separately. Darius is next to play as the Souix, but are you sure you want them? They ARE powerful, but it will take 50+ turns before you are interacting meaningfully with the rest of us. It will be a bit like a VERY slow game of SP!

I should take the Iroquois. You can eliminate the Huron quickly and become a major power in the early game. You might have difficulties from 1750 on, but it will take us a year of play to get there! If you agree, you are still the next to move...
 
The Iroquois Confederacy offers alliance to any European nation that offers.

- This turn war broke out with the Huron, and we began by capturing their Long Water village.

- Dissident tribes in the area of Powhatan Swamp supressed.
 
Some techs were exchanged with our ALLIES the Huron.
Though we know that the Iroquois are at war with the Huron, we ask them not to take too many cities. Especially Grand Huron not.
I'm soon going at war with them, then it will be first com first serve. + You have enough "Barbarian" cities to conquer.
An assault on the dissident Provence has been prepared ...
 
Indeed, I do have plenty to my south and west to deal with, so you can take most of the Huron. All the Iroqouis will take is the peninsula just south of Grand Huron, containing Yellow Lodge, Point of Rocks, and Wood Lake. The rest of of the Huron lands, along with any barbarian tribes to our north, I leave to the French along with the British colonists of Hudson Bay.
 
Sorry, but I must inform you that I already have a semi-calvurin (or something like that) located next to Wood Lake.
It would take very long to relocate that.
So you might be hindered by that unit.

Just so you guys know, JuicyCivNewbie has been banned temporarily. He can still send and receive PMs and read threads, but he cannot post. So when it is Holland's turn all we have to do is PM him telling him so. He would download the file, play it, and send the file to my e-mail address, as the Iroqouis are after him.

He didn't say how long he's banned, but this will be the process for the time being. :(

BTW, as I know France does not really have much of an offensive army in the New World as of yet, I am willing to empty virtually all Huron cities for you, in exchange for an alliance (which would include tech trading) and 200 gold. For this you would get all Huron territory without building a single unit. :groucho:

Aside from that ,King Charles is playing a waiting game, to see how the interests of the French, the Spanish, the Dutch and native peoples start to become manifest....

Well, as I admitted to Case I'm no Sherlock, Willemvanoranje was just a really bad cheater, and the things he did were totally flagrant. If anyone's a policeman around here it's Duke of Marlbrough; he caught Imperial Markus, and caught elibb twice, and these guys weren't as obvious as Willem was.

All right, JCN said no news in the Dutch turn.

Iroquois turn:

- Shawnee tribe enters our glorious Confederation.

- Yop, Yellow Lodge and Point of Rocks are both empty, so I suggest you send some sort of unit by canoe to occupy them. BTW Grand Huron will be emptied next turn by an amphibious assault.

Now most European techs are obsoleted by my indian tech, which means that I can't build European units. However I'm not sure which techs are affected by this and which aren't, so just gift the AI everything it doesn't have, and give it the 200.

- John: nevermind those war bands just west of Charles Town; I just had to fortify them so they'd be safe from a few barbarian bands from Creek Lake nearby that could attack me or the colony. My men will be out of there in the next turn.
 
Traded Gunpowder for Canoes and gave you Iron Working.
200 gold was also donated.
I liberated Avignon.
New city of St.-Marc was founded.
And I captured Moose Lake.
The other cities I could not reach, since when I canceled my alliance with the Huron, all units near their cities were transferred.
Some cities however can be taken next month.
