Hello people.

I’ve managed to remake the "barbarian_galley_diff.dds" and the "barbarian_galley_sref.dds" with white and generic sails, without the pirate skull, so it could be used for every Civ. But I wasn’t able to add it to my Mod. I’ve added the new textures to the Mod and set “true” in the “Import into” etc. It didn’t work. Even replacing the original files in the DX9 folder the pirate skull insisted to appear in the game. I’ve been wondering if I am proceeding correctly. It seems that I should follow another path to add the new textures to the game. What should be done? This is my question.

Thanks

You might get a speedier/better response posting this question in the modding forum rather than the general discussion forum.

Easier if you zip the built mod (the one in the MODS sub-dir, not the ModBuddy project) and attach it to your post - always easier to debug the actual code than try to second guess what you may or may not have done

Perhaps this will save you a lot of time:
Steam Workshop: Galleys for Civs Mod

Feel free to raid it. :D

Also, those new textures of yours are nicely done. :goodjob:

I've actually been meaning to update the art files of my own mod once I have time, since I've learned of better color replacement methods in Photoshop some time after making this. It'll make the texture and shading look smoother, like the original. So much to do... so little time.
