PTW has the turnless mode available in mutiplayer only. That's as close as you're going to get in the near future. Chances are that there will be somekind of RTS mode in either Civ3 or Civ4 as it will attract more people to the game.

PTW does allow single player simultaneous moves now. I'm not sure if you have PTW since it appears that you are relating to single player only.

The game still has issues that need to be resolved with PTW and I'm also sure that the new stand alone addon Conquest will take top priority.

Any thoughts of a Civ4 just 2 years after Civ3's original release is imho about 3-4 years too soon.

Yes, let's not. Even seeing those rally points you can set in PTW gave me a case of the RTS shudders
