New official nVidia Forceware drivers (81.94)

I installed the 81.94 driver. I noticed that the nVIDIA Control Panel has a Civ4 option on under performance and quality settings. I have been using it all day without issues.
My 6800GT with the 81.95 drivers doesn't have this setting. Are you sure this isn't a profile you added?

Hi, just thought I'd let people know that the 81.95 drivers gave an improvement for me.

My system:

P4 2GHz
768Mb RAM
GeForce 3 Ti 200 (64Mb)

...a bit out of date as you can see, but my thinking is that it should be easily capable of running a TBS !!

Anyway, Civ was working ok'ish for me with some older drivers (71.89 I think?), but it was laggy as hell :-(
(also the wonder vids were choppy unless I disabled music)

Just uninstalled my old drivers (just through control panel), rebooted & installed the 81.95 forceware and it's definitely running faster.
Tried a new game (std size, medium graphics, couple of notches up from 1024x768) and virtually no lag. Then loaded my current game (std map, 1920 so lotta stuff going on!) and it's still laggy, but certainly an improvement.

BTW this is with the patch (updated this morning).

The major problem now is the memory - I can hear the drive grinding away as it tries to pump through all the I/O. No gfx card is going to be happy with all that other stuff going across the bus!

Xml can make development faster, but I'm afraid it 'aint as efficient as a hand-crafted binary format ;)

Ok I've only got a little over a hundred years left and the Spanish, Mongolians & Germans are still a stain on my beautiful planet........

[EDIT]
Ok, scrub all the above! Latest nvidia drivers proved to be more unstable for me - worse lag, unit graphics etc vanishing (bare map).
Going back to old version of drivers....
