Here are 5 new strategic resources that I believe many will find very useful. Tungsten, Titanium, Galactium, Dragon Eggs, and Chromium.
I included the Large and Small .pcx files as well, along with the Civillopedia.txt for each, which can obviously be changed for the Dragon Eggs and my Fictitious Galactium. (Galactium comes from Asteroids). The text explains each. These files are complete. Just copy and paste them to your resources.pcx sheet. Also included the shadows for these resources..just copy and paste them to your resources_shadows.pcx sheet.
Here is an example of the resources.pcx in .jpg, the Zip file for download and an example of the resource Galactium in .jpg:
Another Version for these New Resources where they are Offset for Mining purposes is Posted Below..Both Zips are Complete. Personally, I like the Offset Version in my later post called "New Resources Plus" posted Below Best. :)

Be sure and place the shadows in your resources_shadows.pcx sheet especially for Galactium...They all look Much better with the shadows. BTW The Galactium looks best on Flat Lands rather than Mountains and Hills. Read the civilopedia.txt about these and take a look at them in your game...then feel free to rename and use as you like.

well, I moved the New Resources and the Mine to allow Both to be seen in the Game and thought I would upload it all for those who may want them. This looks much better in Game.
The zip has everything included for anyone wanting these New Resources and the Mine in the Offset positions. All Files and Read Me included. Game Tested.

Here is the Zip and an example of the Mine and one of the New Resources (Titanium) in their new positions. Edit: oops, forgot the Read Me...now in the Zip.

I agree Crazyace, different Metals were needed. These Resources can be renamed for a different metal IF anyone wants a different Metal than these.
...The Large pcx files are about the best I could make them with the palette so limited for space. The background shaded color eats up a large portion of the Strategic Resource palette. I think they all came out well and look very good in Game.
* IMO, This Download with the Resources and the Mine Offset is the Best to use in Game. I didn't bother uploading many pictures because pictures of the New Resources are already loaded above. These are the same except all Offset and a Offset Mine included. I did sharpen the contrast for The Dragon Eggs a little more. Again, be sure and apply the shadows because they Ground the resources rather than have them look as if they are floating, especially the Dragon Eggs.
I left the 1st upload where the New Resources are centered for anyone wanting them this way but Both Zips are Complete and no need to get both.

Thanks for the Feedback muffins...I made these new resources to a size that Blends in well with the other resources in the game...the Dragon Eggs are about as small as I could go and still have them look recognizable due to the egg shape. Try them all out in game and judge for yourself. Need a different Metal...Rename them lol.

Good job on the new resources, Vuldacon :)

I like that idea of moving the mine and the resources so, that both are visible. I think, that these could be done for the civ3-resources too :) :)

yes aaglo, I agree all of the Resources can be shifted along with the Mine to allow all to be seen after mining and Thanks for your comment.
Here is perhaps a better example of one of the Offset new resources (Titanium) and mine in the game. BTW, you will notice that I removed the car or container that was in front of the Mine ...it was not really recognizable and only took up space IMO.

Hu I never knew that the mines could be shifted to allow visibility of what is being mined in that particular square. That is another thing that annoyed me about this game. Man I learn something new every day.

Many different Borders have been made and I thought I would add mine to the list :) Perhaps a separate Thread for this new Territory Border would be in order but I will place it here since it is a simple but effective change that is also shown in the above screenshot. This new Territory Border keeps the Original CIV III Border but with an extra line of CIV color added to each side of the Border Line. This is a simple change that I like better because it adds more visibility to the Borders and yet does not detract from the Terrain as BOLD Large Borders can.
Here is another screenshot:

As you can see in the above screenshots, these Borders only have more color added to the edges of the existing CIV III Territory Border so not a Hugh change but Effective :) ...here is the Zip for download:
