Indeed he does fortify with his gun on the opposite shoulder of when he attacks, but that's because I accidentally switched the weapons positions when doing the attack 'cause the first frame bot weapons are on the same side and it got my head all twisted around :crazyeye:

I gave him a beard from the pic in the previewthread I was modelling from and I figured it might get itchy so I made him itch it, although at civscale it does indeed seem like he's picking his nose so next time I'll chose a more obvious action.

exactly what I was thinking but if some other person (with openFX) wants to try redoing the attack anim then I could send 'em the nescessary files, If they want to that is.

Yeah i noticed that when i went to edit it for myself lol :( well what i would suggest is speeding up the AttackC flc (since he is slashing a bit slow anyway IMO) to lets say... 65ms (thats what i tryed to do with mine lol but for some reason it didnt work in game :( that way the attack will be short enough to fit the sound file prehaps! I also tryed to make a .wav file of the sword attack sound by combining 3 of the sounds included in the amb... but for some reason, like my sounds i tryed for your cougar, it doesnt work so i gave up and i might go look for a sword sound on the internet later...

anyway... well... :mischief:.... like i said before.... you could always make these units groucho

Well I was thinking.. If you ever need to find a unit(s) to do.... I was looking at this site and i was like those are some nice looking leaderheads! lol. I plan to only use the top two (since those are the only era-specific ones) and if i was going to use them i figureded theyd need they're unique unit! So if your ever up to it lol a polish unit or atlantis unit would be cool so i could use these leaderheads. The atlantis is getting a bit fictional, but it would still be beliveable so i figured it'd be cool :d i mean even somthing as light as a altered hoplite with a cool atlantis sheild (even though somthing better would be cooler) but i wouldnt be for some flying fictional atlanis unit lol. Just an idea

THEN you would be amazing the best unit creator :D... but no pressure ;)
 
One fore thing for your future units i noticed--on the death annimation it sorta looks like his feet/legs melt or somthing :D lol just some friendly criticizm but hey! its your second unit so lol we have to cut you some slack lol. Again great unit and keep up the good work!

EDIT:.... it might just be my pickyness lol now that i look at the big gif of it it doesnt look so bad-- it might have something to do with the white shoes or something.. i donno

Now that i look at it longer mabey whats bothering me is that he falls kinda slowly.... it might be better if you just dont pay any attention to it at all.. in fact you probly shouldent.. it is your second unit lol and im just being really picky :D
 
Whether it's a first, second or fiftieth unit, you've made a very good job of this. Well done :goodjob: !!

Very good first unit man, irregardless of hopping swords or whatever. Keep it up buddy.
 
TO the pimp comment: No way! If I didn't think that was meant to be funny, I'd think you were trying to be mean ;) (no offense to the pimp unit creator, but honestly)... The only similarity is the hat, and even that is way improved (if nothing else it's 3D). Ignore that comment, Dease, great unit! :p

The main way I get better is by everyones suggestions :D , your point about him falling slowly is actually a good one and I'll incorporate that into my next unit :). So the more suggestions the better :D
 
Oh I wasn't TRYING to be mean, that just comes naturally to me. What I meant was the hat looks the same and since I am mildly ******** I think shaved cats and hamsters look the same because they are both hairy which in turns leads me to the conclusion that pimps and arquebusiers are small mammals that look similar to each other. It is like an improved 16th century pimp that is dressed up like a arquebusier.
