Can someone sum up for me the new victory conditions like wonder victory, regicide etc? The Civilopedia doesn't say anything on them. Pointing me to a faq on them would be great too.

Wonder - Whoever has the most wonders when all have been built wins.
Victory Points - Whoever gets to the pre-set VP amount first wins. VPs are gotten by techs, unit kill, city conquest, controlling VP locations, and a lot of other things.
Regicide - Not a victory condition.
Etc - None of the others are victory conditions.

regicide is a form of play, other side gets preset amount of kings(1) which u can't change. once a civ loses its king, they are destroyed. mass regicide is the same only civs get multiple kings

You get Victory Points for killing units? I did not know this... Thank you =o)

I think you are wrong. By the terms of standard play if Wonder victory is on the game is over when the last, 29th wonder is built. The winner is the player with the best score (i.e. the same situation like by 2050AD victory).

I was basing my assumption on the Mesopotamian conquest. In that scenario, the one with the most wonders when all are built wins. I was second to last in score in my Mycenae game, but I got four wonders, and won.

Were you also second in VPs? In this conquest clssification is made based on victory points. And you get 1.5*cost_build for every wonder.
I have once lost the normal game through wonder victory having half of all wonders because I had not the best score :(.

I built the cheapest four wonders, so I was fourth in VPs...

How do you know what are VP locations? I have yet to figure this out. Every conquest I play with VP scoring, I can never get many and I do not know why. Please help.

VP locations are marked with a sort of an obelisk. If you go to the Middle Ages Scenario and look at Jerusalem (I think) you will see the VP marker.

EDIT: Changed word "asterisk" to "obelisk". Thanks Tomoyo! I found the word asterisk strange... I should have remembered Obelix!

Sure. I can tell ya about regicide: Is a fantastic method when you are bored in a neverending war. The AS (artificial stupidity) ALWAIS save his king at the capital, so you just have to put yourself there and destroy the capital. This cleans.up all the citys os you enmy. Is painful becuse you lose so much population to conquer and citys, but, when you are a bit streched it´s really the salvation! :goodjob:

Ah! Asterix the Gaul! I used to read those all the time! For those not in the know, it's a wildly popular french comic character whose books have sold millions worldwide. Never took off in America as much though.
