Hey all, new to the forum.

Just one question: Where are the Strategic View texture assets located? Or, more generally, is there a reference guide that you have been putting together that shows one where to find all the various art assets?

Thanks.

All art assets are packaged inside various archive files. Nexus includes an extraction tool that'll place copies of each file inside the /resources/ directory of your installation; under the rightmost tab, under the script browser, you should see something like "Unpack .FPK files"; just select that and run it. However, many of the .dds files have some unusual formatting/encryption, to where you can't easily open and modify the file in your favorite graphics program. Adding new graphical assets isn't too bad, but modifying/copying/replacing an existing one is often problematic.

Thanks, I was able to find it eventually. It seems the file I was looking for, the terrain hex textures in strategic view are not encrypted. However, I ran across many garbled icon files. Amusingly, they seem to just be reshuffled. You can actually see recognizable bits when opening them in Paint.net. Had anyone figured out how to extract or decide these yet?
