To add to damanakno's post, You'll lose your resource and keep exporting one. If both are lost, it'll count as a broken deal.

I dont usually sell luxuries to others for cheap cuz it is way to good for him.
Techs i will always sell because if i dont, they will get them from others anyway, but luxuries are to good to sell to my opponents.
