Newbie needs help

Hi there, I'm new at this. I created two units to replace warrior and phalanx and thought that I'd try it out before I did anything else. However, whenever I try this file, 'This program has performed an illegal opperation...' and is shut down. It's not the game, cos it works with any other units.gif or units.bmp. Help?

wrong palette once you load and save unless you use a specific program like paintshop pro. If you load the default gif and save as a bmp, the colours will be wrong too. The best solution is for you to load a unit.bmp from someone elses scenario and edit the thing using MS paint.
