Okay so discussion is what difficulty and game options to make?

And most important do we want to wait for another 2 people to come join the game? Or start right away with 4?

I am up for any options, I have no preference there. As for when to start, I say we wait at least a day or two to see if anyone else wants to join, otherwise just start with what we have.

I too suggest waiting a bit for maybe some other new players that would like to join.
I'd suggest to play first turn monday or so?

[difficulty] I dunno, since there's no AI, it only influences tribal villages rewards, so I'd say noble at least to avoid freebie settlers, or turn off tribal villages
[map script] mediterranean is ok for me (never played this map before, so it'd be something new )
[options]No Tech brokering, lock modified assets, No random seed, Choose religion.

Oh and not that I don't trust you Negative_Suns, but the person who creates the game should not be the person to play first. I guess you know why

Well I'm not exactly a newbie anymore but since veteran players still hurt me a lot some extra training is welcome .

No preference for difficulty setting, barbs are fine, no huts please. Like to play Montezuma of the Aztecs. Timezone is GMT+1. Can play daily from 9:00-22:00. 18:00-22:00 preferred.

Okay, maybe it's time for me to try my hand at MP, so hi

I'd like Pacal of the Mayas please, and my favored times are 0800-1400 and 2000-0000 GMT +0100 (I can do a bit later usually, and afternoons in a pinch). I don't really have preferences for settings except huts off.

Okay sorry guys I had computer problems the last 2 days. (I thought Win7 was supposed to work better than Vista).

Okay Rhymeless and Deztro you two are in.

I am at work now but I am going to update the OP at my next break with the new player info and game options.

TurdFerguson has not contacted me back yet in over a week so I am going to assume he is no longer able to play? So we have 5 people.

Do you guys want to start with 5? Let me know.

Also NZL I am new to hosting PBEM. I don't think it's possible to host and not have the 1st turn? Does anyone know more about this? I will investigate this tonight.

And additionally I think we will all have to trust each other on the first turn regardless of who actually goes first. And I will have an admin password that could override any other players password regardless of if it's my turn first or not; because if any of our players stops responding to eMails we will need to be able to find a replacement for him/her.

I guess I am trying to reason that we will all have to have some faith that everyone is here to play a fair game and on even footing.

5 players is ok with me. I Think it's ok for you to start the game. If you cheat us by taking an adventageous start the four of us will form an alliance to solve that problem

Oh man I am at work till 1:00AM every night. Me post spamming is a result of the insanity of being at work in the middle of the night.

Anyways 5 is fine with me. If no one objects (want to wait for one more) I will start the game later today.

In order aleviate concern. I think we should play [inland sea map script] with balanced resources on. I am going to start the game in about an hour when I get a good break at work. I am going to keep the inland sea map script in and not mediterranean. Because I didn't realize mediterranean in a tectonics map; tectonics can make some pretty aweful starts. (Like entire starting regions with utterly zero production)
