Hi all, 'im very new to civfanatics as a member ( not as a 'spectator' though ;) ) and I can't get an avatar in the avatar screen : I can see all of them but when i click on one of 'em, nothing happens... :(
So how can I get an avatar plz ?

Also, is it possible to change the word ' chieftain' under the nickname by a sentence or a word by my choice as most posters do, or do I have to wait until I am considered as a more active poster ?

Thx for helpin' ! :)

Yes you can change you avater. Go to profile in the top screen, choose edit options. Head down and it will say change avbatar at the bottom. For the Chieftain, go to profile and choose edit profile. In the middle of the screen youll see where to change it.

Thanks, I've got my avatar now :D But I don't see anything in the edit profile screen where u can change the chieftain thing : i see only the signature box and msn, aim and yahoo messenger boxes...

Bonjour D'Artagan!
Its good to see a French poster.
My French is not so good.
Moi j'habite dans le pays Belgique.
Its good to see French poeple learn Anglais ;)
And tu est un Parissien? You got your own French dailect!
So welcome and feel free to post :)

china, it's 30 posts to get a custom title. 300 for a custom avatar. Makes it easier than the old "10 days and 10 posts" to get a custom title.

:goodjob: Your French is not so bad neither, you'll make progress over the time don't worry

Actually I kinda 'know' you since I've been around, without registering, for a while ;)
Where are you from in Belgium ? In the Dutch part ? I find it sort of funny that you wouldn't understand one of your compatriots in another region of Belgium for example :p

Merci pour l'accueil :)

I assume you mean something like this post. ;)

Quite simple really. You just have to know how to use the
tags. Start a quote with
, and close it with
(without the *spaces*. ;) ) To break a quote into parts, so you can comment on each part, just put
after the part you want, enter your comment, and add
to the next part. (You may also need to play with [B ] and [/B ] (bold) as well.)
Almost forgot : how do you attach pictures on your post ?
*Small* pictures may be "attached" by using the "Attach file" function at the bottom of the Post Reply screen. Just click the "Browse" button and find the picture you want to attach. The size limit is like 100K, though, so you can't use very big pics. And only one per post.

The better way is to use tags, and put the url of the pic between them. It doesn't work if the pic is on your local drive, so they need to be uploaded to the net somewhere. TF has a file server available for us here. Just click on the "Upload File" Link at the bottom of any page, and upload your pics. The put the url of the uploaded pics between tags.

Hope that helps.

:D
