Hi there,

I just DLed 1.61 patch (Italian version) but I'm noticing a problem. If I start a normal game, by default there is time victory condition and the game ends at 3600 BC

There's a way to change this? Is this a known bug? Thanks in advance.

Nothing like this happened in the English version I'm afraid.

This happens when you use a pirated version of the game. Please buy the full version and support Firaxis. In return you'll get to play the whole 6050 years of the game.

This is a deliberate anti-piracy measure, and means you are using a no-cd crack or a pirated game. Stop using cracks or get a legitimate copy as applicable, and you won't have this problem.

Is it the same for no-cd crack? I've been using one earlier, but had to reinstall the game a few days ago. (had a vacation from Civ for a while, and changed drive letters..)
Since then I've had the DVD in the drive, but I was just about to find me a patch to let me play without it. Hate to hear the sound of it during boot, knowing that valuable seconds go to waste!

Does this mean I will have to keep it in there? *sigh*

Yes, the same measures apply to pirated games and no-cd cracks. If you want it to work, you must have the original disk in the drive.
