How do I make a screen-shot?

I just use 'Prt Screen' and then open up a paint program and paste. Save the file as a .jpg (not .bmp), because .jpg works for the forums and .bmp does not. Also try to crop the screenshot down (get rid of unnecessary parts of the image) a little to save space.
