Newest Civ game

I am trying to find out what the latest civ game is. I did a search and I found Civ lll gold, Civ lll complete, Civ lll expansion... What is the latest game?

Welcome to cfc ping! I was wondering about that too but I think CivIII complete is the newest one.

Civ 3 Gold is like the original civ3, with about 1/3rd of Conquests thrown in (waste of money)
Conquests is an expansion to the original Civ3
Civ3 Complete is the original Civ3 + Conquests + The most up-to-date patch

If you don't have any of the Civ3 games already, Complete is the one to buy

I still have different one though: Civilization III deluxe edition, including civ3, PTW and conquests and some CD with artwork stuff(didn't really check it out). But i downloaded the latest patch from here.

Thanks. I do have Civ lll but when I went to Best Buy I saw the had Civ lll Gold. I had Just figured they had stopped making Civ games. So I looked up what it was it looked okay actually. Does Civ lll Complete have all the stuff Gold and Conquest have.

NO! best and cheapest way to go about things is to buy the original civ3, and conquests.

It gives you everything and saves you cash... getting civ3 second hand is soo cheap now... and conquests isnt too bad. £15 on eBay can get you everything.

Civ 3 Complete is...complete. It has original (Vanilla) Civ 3, plus the Play The World and Conquests (C3C) expansions. Since you have original Civ 3, if you can find the Conquests expansion by itself and cheaper, it would have all you need. If not, Complete is the way to go.

Is Civ Complete an expansion where I have to have Civ lll to play? Is it for mac? Because I have Civ lll for pc but if I could get Civ Complete for Mac that would be great.

no, civ complete includes civ3 so you dont need anything. its for the PC. Complete just comes with added weight you dont need. plum for conquests..


dont no anything about mac conversions etc.. ask in the mac part of the forum

this has been said ad nauseum but....by civ3 the original,install,get civ3 conquests,install,download patch,install,and finally run civ conquests.i havnt ever played or open civ3 on this comp...

The expansions are only available for the PC, if you want to play on a Mac, you're stuck with the original Civ I'm afraid.
