BtS BOTM 287 Results:

Once again, my game was no challenge for (most of) you. Although Domination and Conquest predominated, all of the victory conditions were pursued by at least one of you, except for Culture. That pair of awards was left unclaimed.

Condolences to donsig, who was the only player to lose, and walks off--err, is driven off--in a pair of ambulances. For the rest of you, congratulations!

And thanks for playing my game.

Here's where everyone settled.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

Thanks MarleysGh0st! After a long hiatus, I decided to introduce Civ 4 to my kids as a better alternative to middle school humanities lesson. A super rusty game that saw some early successes with a CS slingshot, but later Victoria eliminated my trebs using her catapult stack in the middle ages and afterwards I decided to stay peace with her. Then late in the game I found out that there is no oil in the whole empire, and had to wage a war against Genghis to get oil. This time Victoria backstabbed us and killed off many of our infantry/marines with their knight/macemen/trebs/catapult combo and took multiple cities, which delayed the victory by I think close to 50 years... I need to rethink my long-held thought that "spearman-vs-tank is no longer a thing in Civ 4"..
