And he looks like a Godzilla in the cities as well. :)

It does make more sense to have suburbs than mines, at least on plains, grasslands. Now, all you need to do is add little guys in sweaters/polo shirts with a pipe walking their dogs amongst the li'l houses. :)
Please do! That would rock!

p.s. - and instead of irrigation, maybe farmlands and barns with farmers holding pitchforks next to Betsy the cow??

Continuing a discussion from Apolyton, let face it Mines are ugly and mining grassland makes your territory look like a disaster area. So I have switched the graphic to look like a city suburb instead of a mine (which makes more sense anyway than "mining" grassland). Here's a screenshot.

I usually just turn mining off in grasslands and plains, I drove through the great plains this summer, it was endless farmland, I failed to see any mines going through Nebraska... Mines look ugly in grassland/plains too, I'll probably turn them off in tundra as well.

looks cool but i want to take everything i like and put it into my favourite .pcx file, but my adobe photoshop/imageready can only load .pcs files not make em, what program do i need to make .pcx files. can somone please past a link here for downloading it, if possible?

I don't know if this works, but how about trying
a) Save as -> All Files -> TerrainBuildings.pcx
or
b) 1: Save as TerrainBuildings.jpg
2: Go to a program where you can save as "All files"
3: Repeat above
c) 1: Save as TerrainBuildings.jpg
2: Move to a Linux/Unix system
3: change filename to Terrainbuildings.pcx

As I said, I don't know if it works, but at least you would get the image with correct name :)

if only mines can have multiple graphics like irrigation...
these 'suburbs' don;t look right when you have alot together
